Abstract
This report describes some of the Affordable Care Act’s (ACA) key statutory and regulatory safeguards that can help people with disabilities obtain essential care and supports. The report flags issues for monitoring by the disability community, nationally and in states, to ensure that people with disabilities fully share in ACA’s promised gains while avoiding potential risks posed by ACA. The report describes applicable legal duties, identifies the entities responsible for fulfilling those responsibilities and, in some cases, explores potential avenues for redress.
