Kilolo Kijakazi, institute fellow, testified before the Council of the District of Columbia Committee on Government Operations hearing on racial equity. Her testimony highlighted relevant research from her report on The Color of Wealth in the Nation’s Capital, including identifying several significant disparities in homeownership, business ownership, education, and employment rates, and the structural racism barriers that create the root cause of these disparities.
