Abstract
Daniel Lawrence, a senior research associate at the Urban Institute, testified before the DC City Council’s Committee on the Judiciary and Public Safety at a hearing reflecting on progress and next steps five years after the Metropolitan Police Department began using police body-worn cameras (BWCs). His testimony included a summary of findings and policy implications from his research with multiple police departments across the country to examine the impact and use of BWCs.
