Climate, disasters, and environment
The physical conditions of a community determine people’s health, social, and economic wellbeing. However, these outcomes are not experienced equitably across places and populations. Urban examines how the effects of climate change impact communities. Policymakers and funders concerned with disparities in people’s access to positive environmental amenities and exposure to harmful environmental pollutants and hazards turn to Urban’s research work to inform their decision-making.
