Sophia Ayaz is the special assistant and project coordinator for the Metropolitan Housing and Communities Policy Center at the Urban Institute, supporting the team and the interim vice president, Janneke Ratcliffe. Previously, Ayaz was the special assistant to the executive director of the J. Ronald Terwilliger Center for Housing Policy at the Bipartisan Policy Center. She holds bachelor’s degrees from Wellesley College in political science and Chinese language and culture.
