Biography

Rylea Luckfield is a special assistant and project administrator in the Housing Finance Policy Center at the Urban Institute. She provides operational assistance to the center’s vice presidents and offers project management support to the housing finance team.

Before joining Urban Institute, Luckfield served as a constituent services representative for a member of the US Senate, acting as a liaison for Missouri constituents navigating issues with federal agencies. After leaving the Senate, she worked as a grant writer and compliance coordinator for a housing nonprofit in southwest Missouri. She then completed a legislative fellowship in Washington, DC, with the US House of Representatives, where she provided legislative support to a member of the Financial Services Committee.

Luckfield graduated from the University of Missouri in 2015 with a bachelor’s in linguistics and minors in sociology, anthropology, and leadership and public service. In 2019, she graduated from Drury University with a master’s in nonprofit and civic leadership.
