Kathryn Stevens is a research associate in the Income and Benefits Policy Center at the Urban Institute. She manages the Child Care and Development Fund Policies Database, documenting child care subsidy policies across time for the 50 states, the District of Columbia, and US territories. She is also working on a project analyzing tax-simulation issues for the supplemental poverty measure.
Stevens received her bachelor's in political science with a minor in statistics from the University of California, Los Angeles. She earned a master's in public affairs from the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin.
