Health isn’t just shaped by hospitals and physician’s offices. It starts in our homes, schools, and communities. From the walkability of our neighborhoods to the availability of affordable and nutritious food, our health is shaped by our access and opportunity as much as it is shaped by our personal decisions. Equity of that access is a universal human right and a goal we should strive for in designing all policy.
