Julie Guerrero Schor is director of center operations in the Center on Labor, Human Services, and Population. She leads the operations team, enabling the center’s research experts to have the greatest positive impact on the well-being of vulnerable children, youth, families, and individuals.
Schor has more than 15 years of experience in the public and nonprofit sectors, specializing in finance, fundraising, contracts and grants management, and strategic planning. Previously, she was associate director of finance and programs in the Aspen Institute’s Program on Philanthropy and Social Innovation, which focused on maximizing the effectiveness of the charitable sector.
Before joining the Aspen Institute, Schor held government and nonprofit positions at the City of Henderson, Nevada, and the Partnership Community Development Corporation in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, leading affordable housing, economic development, and citizen engagement initiatives.
Schor graduated from the University of Michigan with a bachelor’s degree in Latin American and Caribbean studies. She also holds a master’s degree in city and regional planning and a certificate in housing and community development from the University of Pennsylvania, earning the Paul Davidoff Award for outstanding work in areas of contemporary social concerns.
