Jordan Thomas is a special assistant and project administrator to Nani Coloretti, the Urban Institute’s senior vice president for financial and business strategy. Thomas assists Coloretti with special internal projects pertaining to business enterprise development. He also assists Demetra Nightingale, an Institute fellow, in conducting research.
Before his current role, Thomas served the Obama administration as a legislative officer at the US Department of Labor, where he served as a congressional liaison between the Employment and Training Administration and Capitol Hill. Thomas previously taught seventh grade math with Teach for America in Charlotte, North Carolina, and graduated from Elon University with a BA in political science.
