Eliza Salmon

Research Intern

I am driven by my inability to accept persistent poverty and belief that public policy can help or hurt society’s most vulnerable.

Eliza Salmon is a research intern in the Center on Labor, Human Services, and Population at the Urban Institute. Her research focuses on youth housing and educational vouchers, as well as family work supports. She is interested in vulnerable youths’ transition into adulthood and supportive work policy that creates resiliency from poverty. Salmon will graduate with a master’s degree in public policy from Duke University’s Sanford School for Public Policy in May 2019, following which she plans to pursue evidence-based policymaking.
