Urban’s approach of evidence-based policy research and commitment to elevating policy discussions, in addition to creating effective policy solutions for vulnerable populations similar to where I grew up, are why I’m proud to call this organization home.
Christian Collins is a research assistant in the Income and Benefits Policy Center at the Urban Institute, where he works primarily on the Building America’s Workforce Initiative. His research interests include workforce development, postsecondary education policy, and the impacts of policy decisions on lower-income and majority-minority communities located in the Great Lakes region.
Before joining Urban, Collins worked as an intern with the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities and has also held internships with the Ohio Senate and Columbus City Council. Collins graduated from the Ohio State University with a BA in political science and public policy and also attended Kent State University.
