Candice Nelson is a communications manager in the Center on Education Data and Policy at the Urban Institute. She provides researchers with communications support on early childhood, K–12, and higher education issues.

Before joining Urban, Nelson was a policy associate at EducationCounsel, where she worked on issues related to K–12 and higher education. She received her bachelor’s degree in history from Duke University and her master’s in education policy and management from Harvard University.
