    This guide describes how to use a framework in conjunction with existing job descriptions and training materials to develop two key elements required for apprenticeship program registration: the WPS and the RTI outline. It is important to note that this guide does not cover the whole process of designing and launching a new apprenticeship program. The full development process would include addressing additional aspects of the program, such as determining

    Additional resources are available to begin the process of registering the program with the OA or an SAA, including

    • the Apprenticeship Roadmap Tool prepared by Urban;
    • the Registration Information page on apprenticeship.gov;
    • representatives from the OA or an SAA, who can answer questions about developing and registering programs (find the apprenticeship contact for each state at gov/contact-us); and
    • the Standards Builder online tool, which allows quick customization and program registration in a single centralized place.
