(December 14, 1930 – December 28, 2021)

Bill Gorham was a distinguished Institute fellow and president emeritus of the Urban Institute, serving as the organization’s first president from 1968 to 2000. He was both a giant in the world of public policy research and a kind, funny, warmhearted human who brightened and mentored many lives. His commitment to bringing the power of social science to improve lives and strengthen communities inspired so many over the years.

Gifts made in memory of Bill will support the William Gorham Leadership Program at the Urban Institute.

We will share with the family all names of donors who choose to make a gift in memory of Bill. If you wish to remain anonymous, please contact devoffice@urban.org. Thank you for your support of Bill’s legacy.
