December 1, 1998

Abstract

The Brooklyn Treatment Court (BTC) initiated Project Connection to explore ways that drug treatment courts can benefit by building bridges to the community. This report describes the activities of Project Connection and ideas about how drug courts can support community reintegration after clients graduate from drug court. The results are based upon qualitative analysis of interviews with project staff, focus group interviews with BTC clients, process interviews, observation of a facilitated dialogue with community members, and analysis of records on accomplishments and activities.
