Fifty-eight percent of respondents reported an increase in fundraising receipts for 2012, the best results since before the recession. Further, 63 percent, the highest share since the NRC started surveys, met their fundraising goal in 2012. The full- year 2012 Nonprofit Fundraising Survey also examines planned giving as well specific methods that charitable organizations might use to keep donors informed and engaged. The survey represents a unique collaboration by the Urban Institute's National Center for Charitable Statistics with the Association of Fundraising Professionals, CFRE International, Campbell Rinker, Giving USA Foundation, and Partnership for Philanthropic Planning.
