This report documents the findings of interviews administered to the residents of Zlatograd, Bulgaria, during September 1997. The goal of the interviews was to evaluate the role, functions, and success of the activities of the Community Development Center (CDC). In addition, high-priority areas for future development of the CDC were identified. The interviews were designed to elicit information about how a well-organized community overcomes problems associated with geographical isolation and the 1996 flood.
