Based on the 1999 National Survey of America’s Families, State Profiles of Health Insurance, Access and Use provide basic state-level data in easy-to-use tables. Tables describe the type of health insurance people have by age, income, gender, race/ethnicity, family structure, family work status, firm size (for workers), community type, and country of origin. State profiles also include characteristics of the uninsured including access to and utilization of health care services by low-income people.
