Justice Reinvestment at the Local Level (JRLL) is an Urban Institute project that works with counties to employ data and collective decisionmaking to reduce local correctional costs and reinvest resources in high-stakes communities to yield a more cost-beneficial impact on public safety and community well being.
Transition from Prison to Community (TPC) is a National Institute of Corrections and Center for Effective Public Policy project that articulated a comprehensive and strategic approach to prison to community transition that incorporates the lessons of evidence-based practice, emphasizes the importance collaboration, and provides practical tools for corrections agencies.
The National Reentry Resource Center is administered by the Bureau of Justice Assistance, U.S. Department of Justice, and provides education, training, and technical assistance to states, tribes, territories, local governments, service providers, non-profit organizations, and correctional institutions working on prisoner reentry.
The Federal Interagency Reentry Council supports the Attorney General's efforts in advancing public safety and well-being through enhanced communication, coordination, and collaboration across federal agencies with the goal of reducing recidivism and victimization, assisting individuals returning from prison and jail, and lowering the direct and collateral costs of incarceration.
