Christine Coyer is a Research Associate in the Urban Institute’s Health Policy Center. Her current work focuses on analyzing eligibility for Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) and measuring access to health care among children and low-income families. Her analysis of Medicaid/CHIP eligibility is based on state-level eligibility rules, administrative enrollment data, and survey data from the Current Population Survey (CPS). She also has significant experience with national household survey data, including the National Health Interview Survey (NHIS), Medical Expenditure Panel Survey (MEPS), and the National Survey of Children’s Health (NSCH). Prior to joining the Urban Institute, she was a Senior Research Assistant at the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System where she conducted policy analysis and applied economic research on issues pertaining to financial stability.
