Cynthia Perry, Ph.D., is a Research Associate in the Health Policy Center. Since arriving in the fall of 2006, she has worked on several studies related to child health, including access to and quality of preventive care and the effects of health insurance on child health outcomes. She has also contributed to a series of studies about health insurance for low-income working families and helped to develop an integrated health policy and tax policy simulation model.

Prior to joining the Urban Institute, Dr. Perry spent two years as a Robert Wood Johnson Health Policy Scholar at Harvard University, where she studied the effects of maternal depression on child health management. She received her Ph.D. in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in June 2004.
