Allison Cook
Allison Cook

Allison Cook is a research associate who joined the Urban Institute in 2004. Much of her work is focused on analyzing the distribution of health insurance coverage and characteristics of uninsured populations at the national and state level. In addition, she is involved in modeling eligibility for Medicaid and the State Children’s Health Insurance Program.

She works extensively with the Current Population Survey and has participated in projects examining health insurance status in Massachusetts, New York, Virginia, the District of Columbia, Maine and Missouri. Ms. Cook provides support to senior health policy researchers on a variety of research projects at the Urban Institute and serves as an associate to the Kaiser Family Foundation Commission on Medicaid and the Uninsured, providing data and analytic support for Commission work.
