Plan for a Community Education and Participation Campaign: Zlatograd Solid Waste Project (Research Report)

The U.S. Agency for International Development through the Bulgaria Local Government Initiative (LGI) has been assisting the municipality of Zlatograd improve its solid waste management system. This report consists of a publication education and participation campaign. The document will guide the municipality as it undertakes community involvement activities related to solid waste management. It outlines methods whereby the municipality can inform citizens of the past, present, and future initiatives in the area of solid waste management, solicit citizen input on these efforts, and stimulate a sustainable process of citizen involvement in local government.
