The Urban Institute and CoreLogic are pleased to invite you to a symposium addressing a diverse range of future housing market issues and opportunities confronting consumers, businesses, and policy makers.

The Data, Demand, and Demographics: A Symposium on Housing Finance event will be held Wednesday November 20, 2013 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center. The symposium will feature two keynote addresses by Gene Sperling, Director of the National Economic Council and Ed Glaeser, Fred and Eleanor Glimp Professor of Economics, Harvard University.

The day’s program will include panel discussions on:

  • Demographics of US Households: A look into the coming years, including the challenges of new homeowners and an aging baby boom generation;
  • Greater Transparency in the Agency and Non-Agency MBS Markets: A conversation addressing both liquidity and pricing;
  • Challenges of the Rental Market: An examination including investor purchases of REO-to-Rental; and
  • Credit Access: A discussion on credit access as house prices increase, refinancing decreases, and new regulations are enforced.
