Contracting with the Urban Institute

The Urban Institute is funded by grants, cooperative agreements, various kinds of contracts, and donations.

US government agencies can contract Urban Institute research services for prenegotiated rates through an indefinite quantity contract, or IQC. The table below outlines the existing IQCs through which specified organizations can secure Urban Institute services.

Our General Services Administration (GSA) Advantage Schedule (MOBIS) offers GSA’s category “874-1” services:

  • Management or strategy consulting, including research, evaluations, studies, analyses, scenarios/simulations, reports, business policy and regulation development assistance, strategy formulation, and expert witness services
  • Facilitation and related decision support services
  • Survey services, using various methodologies, including survey planning, design, and development; survey administration; data validation and analysis; reporting; and stakeholder briefings
  • Advisory and assistance services in accordance with FAR 37.203
