Ms. Conroy joined Urban Institute's Center on International Development and Governance as an international project coordinator in May 2011. As a coordinator for projects in Kosovo, Rwanda, Georgia, and around the world, she provides budget, contractual, technical, and logistical support to senior-level researchers in the home office, as well as the Center's field offices in Asia, Eastern Europe, Africa, and Central America. Highlights of her work include: contributing to the Strengthening Civic Participation in Rwanda project; supporting the Impact Evaluation Services in Georgia project; and most recently, coordinating grant and procurement activities for the Democratic Effective Municipalities Initiative project in Kosovo.

Prior to joining UI, Ms. Conroy was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Northern Senegal, where she pioneered improvements in health through education and organized community activities, with a focus on gender equality and women’s empowerment. Ms. Conroy has a bachelor’s degree in Foreign Languages from George Mason University and is fluent in French and Pulaar.
