A selection of our projects.
Evaluation of the Florida A+ Accountability Plan This evaluation analyzes the behavioral and student academic outcome consequences of the Florida education accountability program. It allows us to not only analyze outcomes but to get inside the "black box" of schooling by incorporating information on the behavioral responses of schools and teachers.
Evaluation of the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards Using linked student and teacher data, this project examines three questions: who applies to become a National Board Certified teacher, what are the characteristics of individuals who receive certification, and what are the effects of certification on student performance.
Evaluation of the Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP) This is a three-year evaluation of the LSAMP program, which aims to substantially increase the quality and quantity of underrepresented minority students receiving baccalaureate degrees in math, science, engineering, and technology.
Benchmarks of Student Achievement This study uses national longitudinal databases to address two questions: how much are students learning per year in reading and mathematics, and how do these gains differ for students of different social backgrounds.
National Educational Technology Trends Study (NETTS) While “digital divides” in the technology available to schools serving different demographic groups have decreased in recent years, large gaps remain in the ways technologies are applied. NETTS helps monitor these trends and studies one of the major federal initiatives to enhance teaching and promote learning through the use of technology in schools, the Enhancing Education Through Technology program. |
