Sara Debus-Sherrill is a Research Associate with the Urban Institute’s Justice Policy Center, where she works on research and evaluation projects related to criminal justice and law. She contributes to a variety of studies on mental health courts, jail violence, reentry challenges, forensic science, school violence, and disaster-related legal aid. Before joining the Urban Institute, Debus-Sherrill studied clinical psychology at the University of Alabama with a focus in child and adolescent forensic psychology. She has experience with criminal and juvenile justice populations in both a research and clinical capacity.
