Biography

Pho Palmer is a center administrator with the Center on Nonprofits and Philanthropy (CNP) at the Urban Institute. Within the CNP’s National Center for Charitable Statistics, she serves as the point of contact for individuals and organizations needing to obtain IRS data on the nonprofit community. Palmer’s previous research has included reviewing the client tracking practices of HIV-prevention programs; the role and capacity of religious congregations and their experience with Charitable Choice laws in three low-income wards in the District of Columbia; and assessing computer penetration in three low-income wards in the District of Columbia.

Palmer holds a BA in sociology and anthropology from the University of the District of Columbia, graduating magna cum laude.
