Kara Davis is a project manager in the information technology department at the Urban Institute, where she brings agile practices and user-centered design principles to her work. Davis has over 15 years of experience working with nonprofit and social change clients in Washington, DC, previously working as a web designer and information architect at PBS, as a project manager at Viget Labs, and in the publications department of the Peterson Institute for International Economics. She earned her MS in strategic leadership toward sustainability from the Blekinge Institute of Technology in Sweden before returning to DC to pursue work in community building and urban sustainability. Davis also runs her own consulting practice, Loop Strategies LLC. Current clients include National Capitol Contracting, Tripod Education Partners, the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards, the Consumer Health Foundation, the Institute for Education, Rose Li Associates, Harvard University, and Burness Communications.
