Biography

Erika Parks is a research assistant in the Justice Policy Center at the Urban Institute, where she contributes to projects related to justice systems change, reentry, and recidivism prevention, with a focus on juveniles.

Before joining Urban, Parks interned for the Bureau of Justice Statistics, contributing research and data analysis to several national reports.

She received her BA with honors in sociology and mathematics from Pomona College, completing her senior thesis in sociology, “At a Crossroads: Support and Oppression of Women in Transition from Prison,” with distinction.
