Urban’s use of innovative research methods to more fully comprehend law enforcement’s relationships with the communities they serve drew me to the institute. It is exciting to approach the complex problem of justice policy from new angles to make sure all citizens’ voices are heard.
Edward Mohr is a research assistant in the Justice Policy Center at the Urban Institute. His recent work at the Center for the Study of Race and Democracy at Tufts University focused on the relationship between the federal government and community-based organizations in underserved neighborhoods. His research focuses on new and unique approaches that organizations are taking to alleviate poverty in urban areas across the country. He earned a BA in sociology from Tufts University.
