Biography

Dina Emam is a research associate in the Center on Labor, Human Services, and Population at the Urban Institute. Since joining Urban in 2011, she has worked on various topics centered around the US social safety net, with a focus on policies that improve the housing and economic stability of vulnerable populations. Emam is experienced in both qualitative and quantitative data analysis and is currently involved in evaluations that explore the efficacy of various social programs, including financial coaching, rules of thumb for credit card revolvers, shared equity homeownership, and homelessness assistance for veterans.

Emam received her BA in economics from Swarthmore College.
