During this half-day Stepping Stones research briefing sponsored by the Washington Area Women's Foundation and the Urban Institute, three panels highlighted policy issues specific to low-income, women-headed families.

Stepping Stones is a multi-year initiative from the Washington Area Women's Foundation. The initiative is focused on increasing economic security and financial independence for low-income, women-headed families in the Washington metropolitan area.
